The Colors Festival

One of the recent activities that my fiance and I have done is attend the Colors Festival. I had never been before and it seemed like fun. I believe that it is a celebration of spring. People gather for food and music and every couple of hours there is a 'throwing'. You can buy packets of color (colored corn starch). They have a countdown and everyone tosses their powder in the air (which actually makes it extremely hard to breathe) and cheers and yells go up, and I believe there is a ritual 'burning of the witch'. It was a good experience. I have hardly done anything in my life, so it was fun to try something new. Here are a few pictures we took.

This is after the throwing. We are on the balcony of the temple. I am not sure of the name of the temple though.

Just for fun, here is a before and an after picture with our friends.
